With the silly season here It's time to start being conscious of managing your PCOS so that things don't spiral out of control. We are invited to so many parties and events that just one treat can turn into many and in the blink of an eye you've undone all of your hard work.. i know from experience! 

Today I thought I would share with you my TOP 3 Tips to beat the bulge this Christmas! Relevant for women with PCOS and without. 

Tip 1 - Manage your blood sugar levels! Start the day with a quality protein and good fats meal along with some fish oil. Doing so will help set you up for the day, stabilise your blood sugar levels and help keep you in control of your cravings. Then if you feel like having that croissant with nutella or jam you may just stick to one ;) 

Tip 2 - Add in some exercise - try and get it done earlier in the day, make it fun! Put on some awesome music or grab a friend, head outdoors and go for a big walk. Exercise should be celebrated and leaves you feeling amazing - it's definitely not a punishment! Not sure what to do? Grab my do it anywhere exercise guide here

Tip 3 - Say No to Sugar! Or atleast when having sugar, make sure you pair it with some protein or good fats. This will stop you from over indulging, allowing you to be more level-headed when indulging and will hopefully stop a binge. 

Hopefully these tips help you! Remember with soo many events coming up and if you are concerned with un-doing your hard work follow these tips to help you stay on track. Also, pick and choose the ones that you will let yourself indulge in and don 't ever feel guilty about it. You have worked hard and should let your hair down and have fun with family and friends. That's what this time of year is all about - being with loved ones and friends. So, don't stress too much about exercise and food!
